Ingredients
Sauce
- 2 cups of BBQ sauce, I use Kraft original.
- 1 cup of Franks Hot Sauce
- 1 tsp of cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 large rack of pork spare ribs (about 16 individual ribs)
- 1 tsp. of season salt
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. adoba goya
- 1 tsp. of salt
Directions
- Turn the ribs over where you can see the membrane of white skin. Start at the end and hold the membrane with a paper towel and pull until you get the whole membrane released. Toss it in the garbage. Take your knife and score the back by making a slice from one side to the other on the width of the rib. Then also score in the other direction with your knife making a criss cross.
- Now cut the ribs apart. If you go right in the center of each rib you will get an even amount of meat on each rib. Place in a large bowl.
- Mix the four ingredients for the seasonings together and season the ribs.
- Mix the sauce ingredients together and whisk. Take 3 three cups of sauce and pour it over the ribs and let sit for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
- Place the ribs in a deep dish or pan, meat side down. Through away the sauce the ribs were sitting in. Cover the deep dish tightly and cook for 2 1/2 hours.
- Uncover the ribs, turn ribs so meat side is up. Pour over the rest of the BBQ sauce and cook uncovered at 350 degrees F for another 20 minutes.
